A Dream Come True!

We waited so long to be together and now we can finally be together forever!

Me (my name is Mandy) and Chad have known each other for about five years. I am nineteen and he is twenty one. We met when I was a sophmore in high school and he was a senior. We hit it off immediately and began dating even though it was very difficult because of our different faiths. (He is LDS (mormon) and I was a Lutheren at the time). Everyone would tell us that it would never work because he was going to get married in the temple and I would not be able to because I was not mormon. We were together every single day until eight months later when he went off to school in Utah to Brigham Young University (we live in Georgia so you can imagine how far away we were) we talked on the phone every night for hours for 10 months while he was away. I never dated anyone else neither did he. Than he came home for the summer and had to leave on a two year mission to Mexico City for his church. He could not call me or come home for two years. We could only write emails and letters once a week. We wrote as much as possible and I graduated and went to college and I also joined the LDS church.A few months before he got home I ended up getting engaged to another guy who was also LDS. I look back now and see that I was so lonely and this guy was filling that hole that I had inside of me from being away from Chad. Chad came home a few months later and I immediately felt the old sparks. To make a long story short I broke off the enagagement with the other guy and got back together with Chad. Now we are both here in Utah at BYU and just got engaged this past weekend. We are going to be married in Atlanta in the temple this summmer. My dream of being with Chad, my high school sweatheart, has finally come true!
