Eight Years Later...

It may have taken eight years for us to finally make it official but I knew from the first day we met that I was going to make a life with this man.

Right after high school, Frank and I met at a mutual friends house. Immediately, we hit it off. Frank and I made it through his senior year of high school and going out of state for college. I knew, if we could make it through a long distance relationship, there was nothing that could come between us. After 2 years of dating, Frank proposed, of course I said "yes". We decided to wait 2 years before the wedding, we still had school to finish. One and half years later, Frank and I moved out of our parents homes and moved in with eachother. Then, a lot of problems started happending in Franks life, his parents were getting divorced after 23 years of marriage. There were a lot things that he felt he couldn't deal with. He told me that he didn't want to take me down with him, he needed sometime. I moved out but never moved on. I knew things would work out between the two of us. He would eventually come back and we would marry and be happy. Then, Frank got married...Everyone told me to move on and start dating. I did date but I still told everyone that it wasn't over between the two of us. Three years after Frank and I seperated, he was divorcing his wife. He called, and said he wanted to talk. We talked and it was like old times. We started seeing more and more of eachother as the months went on. Eventually, we moved in with eachother again. One year later, on Christmas day, with his eyes full of tears, Frank proposed...I said "yes". I knew this time it was going to happen. It may have taken eight years for us to finally make it official but I knew from the first day we met that I was going to make a life with this man. I couldn't love anyone more than I do him. Our wedding is in 4 months and we couldn't be happier.
