The Blushing Bride to Be
The relationship I have with Patrick has been a dream come true. It started in High School, our football teams were playing each other Live Oak High School vs. Yerba Buena (we beat them of course). During half-time, Patrick and one of his friends walked over to our side of the field ( Big No-no)and I, being the outgoing, wild party girl that Iam had to get his attention. I noticed Patrick was really shy, so while his friend was talking to my friend, I whispered in his ear.. excuse me, "Do you think you can keep me warm".. he looked at me with this shy like smile and walked away.. I thought ok, well that's that. I pestered my friend for a couple of days to get his phone number for me.. I wanted this man and I was going to have him.. I got the number and we went out a few times.. by the following week he was mine, (shhh don't tell him that though) So yes we were high School sweethearts for 1 1/2 years. Not having car, living on opposite sides of town and working made it difficult to spend time with one another. So we decided to go our separate ways, we promised to keep in touch and since we were such good friends it made the separation a little easier..
After high school I moved out and got my own place and it was a big difference from being at home. One day, not looking all glamoured up I decided to wash clothes.. one of my neighbors yelled "Hey Nicole, I have a surprise for you" I'm like yeah ok whatever and as I looked up I noticed Patrick standing there.. I blushed and tried to get cute but there was no way, I was tore up from the floor up..I was in cutoff sweats.. and ladies you know how we dress when it is wash day.. anyway.. he came down to my apartment and I said to him, "Now that I have you.. you're not getting away" and every since then we have been stuck like glue..
We've been together for 4 1/2 years going strong.. I can't live without this man, I feel as though he is my soulmate.. He is my best friend and knows me like the back of his hand.. I couldn't have picked a better man to spend the rest of my life with.. He's perfect.. perfect for me. Patrick proposed to me on February 12th, 2005
