"Happy Birthday Cynthia, Will you go out with me Tonight?"

I was a Freshman in High School and he was a Junior. I thought that he was an obnoxious dork and this huge football jock! Well, he was always around my friends and everything and I just thought that he knew them and I never said a word! One day we were at Cheerleading practice and he was out on the football field talking to one of my friends for awhile. When they were finished talking she came up to me and asked me what I thought about him. I told her that I thought that he was an obnoxious dork and that he was arrogant! She just laughed. I asked her what was so funny? She replied; he wanted me to ask you if you'd consider going out with him! I told her to tell him that if he wanted to know that he should ask me himself! So, she went and told him that! I didn't see him for 3 days after that. Well, Monday was my birthday and I always recieved flowers from my bestfriend and my parents. Well, this birthday I got more than I would ever expect! I was sitting in class waiting for the next bell to ring and my two bestfriends got called to the office(no big deal)! Well, a couple seconds later they called me to the office. When I got up there, there was this note on the counter that read:"Go Outside and Look Up!" So I went outside and looked up. There was a banner that said: "Happy Birthday Cynthia, Will you go out with me Tonight?" And as I was triing not to die from crying and laughing at the sametime, out pops Rick and all of my friends! He had everyone in on it and no one ever said a word to me about it! I couldn't say no to that! So I said, "yes" and that's how we started going out! The way he asked me to marry him was just as amazing! He took me shopping and we were looking at the jewelry just killing time before our friends met us for lunch. I found this really pretty ring that was a princess cut diamond with little square diamonds on the sides. It was really neat looking with a neat looking price tag! Well,we left and met our friends @ Garfields. We were sitting there waiting for our drinks when Rick got up and said he was going to the bathroom. So, he went and did his thing, and got back like nothing was up. So we ordered and ate and ordered somemore drinks. Well, in the middle of talking my bestfriend looked at me and goes,"so, when are you getting married?" I just looked at Rick and then at her and said:"When he asks me!" Tom said "What, you haven't asked her yet?" I was like; "NOPE!" Just then, Rick stood up and grabbed my hand and said this speech like it was rehersed and then he asked me to marry him! We've been together ever since!
