Two mothers who became best friends. Two wild teens they swore would never meet. A pinkie swear broken ten years later!
It happened ten years ago when two mother's became the best of friends. One had a beautiful girl and the other a handsome man. Although wonderful children, they were both wild and living the adolescent dream of college freedom and young adulthood bliss. The two mother's pinkie swore that the two should never meet (in a very joking manner).
But faith took it's course. One Christmas Eve seven years later, the sons mother begged him to come meet her good friend. He obliged. He was the first down the steps into the party when their eyes met. Sparks flew. But there was one obsticle, the girl was engaged. Needless to say, they talked all night and realized that they were from the same city and email addresses were exchanged. The boy stuffed into his suit jacket pocket and the night came to an end.
Fast forward six months. The girl had called off her wedding because she could not stop thinking of this boy although they had never spoken again. One day as she was working an email popped up. It was him. Her heart fell to her pinkie toe. The two exchanged emails for a month and eventually the boy got the courage to call. They talked for hours. Later it was discovered that he kept her email address in hopes that some day he could use it.
Their first date was spectacular. Dinner for two and chatter that never silenced. She knew she would marry him that night.
Fast forward two and a half years. Shopping in Fanuiel Hall, or so she thought. Just one stop to the harbor walk he asked. As the two approached the gazebo he knelt on one knee. "Will you marry me" he uttered shaking. She had never seen him so nervouse. "Yes" she screamed. After they embraced for what seemed like hours and a beautiful ring was placed on her finger, he took her on a horse and buggy ride around Boston with champagne and roses. Just when one would think that was it, it got better. He arranged for her to take the next day off from work and brought her to their hometown to celebrate with their families.
That is my story! That is my love! That is the man I am goign to spend the rest of my life with and I can't wait!
