The romantic story of a US soldier and his soon to be bride.

We met as children and were boyfriend and girlfriend when we were very young. As happens sometimes, both of our families moved away and then we lost touch. Both of us went on to finish school and go on with our lives. Noah joined the military after 9/11 and served in Iraq for one tour of duty. He made it home fine and then decided to rejoin and went back to Iraq for his 2nd tour. On December 19th, 2005 he went out on a mission to pick up some more of the troops. On this mission, the Hummer Noah was driving was hit by an I.E.D.(Improvised Explosive Device). He took the worst of the blast. He was thought to be dead but had a friend who refused to give up on him and stayed with him until help arrived. Noah was in bad shape and near death. He ended up loosing his left arm and leg in the blast. While he was in Washington recovering, I heard about the accident and I and another childhood friend of mine and Noah’s went to Washington D.C. to visit him. It was like the years fell away and we re-fell in love with each other. Noah calls it "magic" what happened between us. One would never know that he is, and he refuses to be called, disabled. He has the attitude that he can do anything and pretty much does. Within no time of loosing an arm and leg, he has surprised everyone with his determination to do anything he sets his mind to. He is an inspiration to all that know him. Noah proposed to me Sat. Dec. 8th, 2006 while we were on vacation in Nashville. Noah and I are getting married on March 17, 2007.
